45th Defibrillator Now Live in Clifton Village

Bright yellow defibrillator mounted on the exterior wall of The Royal Oak pub in Clifton Village, providing 24-hour public access to life-saving equipment in a busy area.

We’re delighted to announce the installation of our 45th defibrillator at The Royal Oak on The Mall in Clifton Village. This bustling area, filled with popular pubs and restaurants, now has a vital 24-hour Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD), ensuring quick access to life-saving equipment in case of emergencies.

The journey to this installation began several months ago with discussions amongst local residents and at the Clifton and Hotwells Improvement Society (CHIS) meeting. Thanks to their support, this project gained the momentum needed to make it a reality.

A special thanks goes to Wickwar Pubs, who generously offered to host the defibrillator at The Royal Oak. After successfully working with them on a previous installation at The Masonic, Wickwar Pubs once again stepped up, offering to both host and maintain this important resource. The area manager’s enthusiasm and commitment to expanding defibrillator coverage to more of their pubs is truly commendable.

With the defibrillator now live and registered on the 999 system, we want to extend our gratitude to everyone involved, especially to Wickwar Pubs and Gary, our skilled electrician, for ensuring the installation was completed smoothly. This project demonstrates the power of local collaboration and will play a key role in making Clifton Village a safer place for everyone.
