We’re thrilled to announce the installation of our 47th defibrillator at The Masons Arms in Stapleton. Positioned on the pub’s exterior wall, this bright yellow defibrillator is now available for 24-hour public access, adding a vital resource to the community. With the pub located on a well-frequented road, this defibrillator ensures that emergency assistance is readily available to patrons, locals, and passers-by.
This installation came to life after Simon, acting on a tip from a family friend about the pub’s interest, successfully sourced the defibrillator through a government grant. The Masons Arms then launched a fundraising campaign, raising funds impressively fast to support this crucial addition to the neighbourhood. Simon was genuinely impressed by the enthusiasm and generosity of the pub and its patrons.
Gary, our skilled and dependable electrician, was back on the job, swiftly handling the installation to get the defibrillator live as quickly as possible. Thanks to his expertise and efficiency, the unit was fully registered on the 999 system within days, ensuring its immediate accessibility in emergencies.
To further enhance visibility, Simon has also ordered a sign to help make the defibrillator more prominent, especially as parked cars may occasionally obstruct the view. This will be installed in the coming days to ensure easy identification.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this project happen— from the generous supporters at The Masons Arms to Gary and the community members who make installations like these possible. This defibrillator is a testament to the community’s commitment to safety and could one day be a true lifesaver.
