Two more defibrillators have now been added to the network - one a rapid response from a local place of worship, the other a focused reinstatement led by a Clifton business group.
Installation No. 53 is now in place at the Sikh Temple on Summerhill Road, St George. This one came about after a trustee heard about our work on BBC Radio Bristol. Simon met with four of the temple’s trustees shortly after, and they immediately got behind the idea. A donation was made, the cabinet was dropped off, and with local installer Gary living nearby, the setup was completed quickly. The temple has been proactive in spreading the word and making sure the wider community knows the defibrillator is there and available.

This started when Patrick from Primrose Café contacted Simon after seeing a post in South Bristol Voice about a “stolen” AED that had been handed in. While that unit wasn't used here, the enquiry sparked action. Clifton BID stepped up to fund a new cabinet and were keen to reinstate a defibrillator in a location that had previously hosted one. Lucy from the BID led the initiative, with Simon supporting on sourcing the equipment. Installation was completed by Simon and Sean, an electrician who travelled over to help get it fitted.

Thanks to everyone involved in both projects - two very different routes, but the same result: another two lifesaving devices now active and ready if ever needed.
